testname is provided by soft-evolution GmbH & Co. KG, Albert-Einstein-Str. 1, 49076 Osnabrück, Germany ("we"). Details are in the imprint.

The check looks up a name you enter in public sources: domain registries and DNS, company registers, social and developer platforms, software registries and an AI review of language and sound. It shows what these sources returned at the time of the check, with the source, the time and a link for each finding, and calculates a verdict of go, caution or stop from them.

The check is a screening of public sources. It is not legal advice and not a trademark search. A go means only that the sources we query showed nothing against the name at that moment. It does not mean that you may use or register the name. Before you file, register or launch a name, search the trademark registers yourself or have a lawyer do it.

The sources are run by others. They can be incomplete, out of date or temporarily unavailable, and they can change after your check. Where a source does not answer clearly, the report shows the finding as open. The AI review of language and sound gives hints only and can be wrong.

We do not guarantee that a report is complete or correct, or that the check is available at all times. We may change, limit or end the check at any time.

The check is free and needs no account. To keep it that way:

Use it for your own naming decisions or those of your clients.

Do not query it automatically or in bulk, and do not try to get around the limit on checks per IP address.

Do not copy reports in bulk or resell them, and do not present them as legal advice.

We may block access that breaks these rules.

Every report has its own address with the name in it. Anyone who has the address can open the report. Only share it if that is fine with you.

Reports and pages link to registries, registers and platforms. Their content and terms are theirs. We earn nothing from these links.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper use of the check possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely; in that case our liability is limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service.

Because the check is free, the statutory limits of liability for services provided without charge also apply.

We may change these terms. The version shown here when you run a check applies to that check.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
